Safari in Zimbabwe
The excitement of a safari in Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve is not to be taken lightly. You would be pleasantly surprised.
On our afternoon game drive with our guide, called Africa. A Zimbabwean from the area. Passionately and proudly helped us spot three of the big five within the first 30 minutes.
The Stanley and Livingstone Boutique Hotel has everything you need to unwind. From a pool and spa to a deck where you can watch the local wildlife. And has the thrilling experience of hitting the bush in an open game vehicle chasing after the wild. In between the chase you get to see birds, a lot of spoors and many thrilling creatures!
Observe the hippos at the watering hole. Have the concierge arrange a game drive, a bush walk, or a horseback ride. The Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve is home to a wide range of animals. The list includes rhinos, elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, springbok, kudus, and giraffes. And a plethora of many types of birds. All these animals are free to roam the reserve’s 6,000 acres of savanna and bush land. The endangered black rhino lives well here because of a successful campaign to protect it.
During our game drive, we spotted a herd of buffalo, a family of elephants. A solitary leopard in its natural habitat. There were a lot of birds, the most incredible African sunset. With tasty snacks and drinks to enjoy as the sun went down over a watering hole. In the peaceful stillness of the bush, we enjoyed watching a Pied Kingfisher snag a meal. A hippo grumbled as he stomped out of the water. Onto the lush grasslands where he would eat for dinner, attracting the attention of dragonflies and butterflies.

Being outside heals me. So, I urge everyone to go to Victoria Falls and, without a doubt, to experience a safari. Totally magical stuff, that.
