My sunset cruise was enlivened by a variety of beautiful birds, including palm nut vultures, a majestic fish eagle, and a swarm of white-fronted bee-eaters. The biggest crocodile at the bank was taking it easy in the warm Zambian sunshine. And there are a lot of hippos hanging out in the shallows.

The beautiful cloud formations and magnificent dusk colours of a faraway thunderstorm took my breath away.
