For the adrenaline junkies, take the unconventional route down Table Mountain by abseiling off its sheer cliffs. Suspended in mid-air, you’ll experience an adrenaline rush like never before. As, you soak in the unparalleled scenery below. Personally, it’s not for me. But it’s an epic adventure for those who like to push themselves!
Paragliding off Signal Hill:
Soar like a bird above the cityscape by paragliding off Signal Hill. Furthermore, enjoy breathtaking views of Cape Town. Uniquely, Table Mountain, and the Atlantic Ocean as you glide through the sky with the help of experienced tandem pilots.
Quad Biking in Atlantis Dunes:
Head to the Atlantis Dunes for a thrilling quad biking adventure. Feel the rush as you navigate through the vast, rolling sand dunes, providing an adrenaline-pumping experience in a unique and surreal landscape.
Ocean Kayaking to Seal Island:
Embark on a sea kayaking expedition to Hout Bay’s Seal Island. Paddle through the Atlantic waters and witness playful seals and other marine life in their natural habitat. It’s a perfect blend of adventure and wildlife exploration. Important to note, I would only go on beautiful conditions as it could be a hectic kayak if the waters are choppy!
Surfing at Muizenberg Beach:
Cape Town is a surfer’s paradise, and Muizenberg Beach is the ideal spot for both beginners and experienced surfers. Take a surf lesson, catch some waves, and embrace the laid-back surf culture that defines this vibrant coastal city. Coupled with that, there are load of excellent places to eat, drink coffee and chill. By the same token, my personal favourite is Empire Café!
Helicopter Tour of the Cape Peninsula:
Above all, for a unique perspective on Cape Town’s natural beauty. Take to the skies on a helicopter tour. Soar above the Cape Peninsula. Without a doubt, getting a bird’s eye view of the iconic landmarks, pristine beaches, and dramatic cliffs. I highly recommend using NAC Helicopters. To point out, the flight over the Peninsula, gives you the possibility to view whales in the sea. Just saying 🙂
Snorkel at Millers Point:
The famous movie documentary called My Octopus Teacher is about a man struggling with mental illness who befriends a wild octopus. Yes, it’s a true story! It’s a moving story of how they both respected each other and learnt a lot about each other. No spoilers! There are stunning easy rock pools in Millers point where you can snorkel, between the kelp. Its protected and sheltered by any great white sharks. But you do get to see unbelievable marine life. I would suggest you go with a company called Pices Divers; they have epic snorkel adventures!
