During my stay, remarkable sightings were enjoyed almost daily. Furthermore, one unforgettable highlight was an incredible leopard sighting, where this elusive cat was watched resting in a tree while the golden evening light filtered through the branches. Equally important was our guide, Phethu, who was simply outstanding. His guiding felt like artistry, as the vehicle was positioned perfectly for photography and patience was always shown in waiting for the best wildlife moments. As a result, some of the best wildlife photographs in the Okavango Delta were captured during those drives.

When Is the Best Season to See Everything?

The Okavango Delta is a year-round safari destination, but certain seasons offer slightly different experiences. Generally, the dry season from May to October is considered the best time for concentrated wildlife viewing. During this period.  Water levels rise in the Delta and animals gather around the remaining channels and lagoons. However, the green season from November to April also has its own charm. Migratory birds of the Delta arrive in spectacular numbers, which makes it a paradise for bird lovers and photographers. Additionally, young animals are often seen during these months, creating wonderful opportunities to observe natural behaviour.

Everything seemed to run effortlessly under his care, and every guest was made to feel comfortable and looked after. Furthermore, his attention to detail created a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after exciting days of wildlife viewing. Equally wonderful was Ami, who was simply fantastic.

Every interaction was friendly and thoughtful, and her energy added warmth to the entire camp. Consequently, the combination of great guiding, intimate service, and incredible surroundings made Molokwane feel truly special.
