Agra is a city located on the banks of the Yamuna River in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Agra exudes an aura of historical grandeur.  Coupled with, its ancient monuments, forts, and palaces reflecting the opulence of the Mughal era. Walking through the narrow lanes of the old city. You’ll encounter remnants of its glorious past, with every corner whispering tales of bygone empires. The people are friendly and warm.  The hospitality is unbelievable.

Beyond its iconic monuments, Agra is blessed with picturesque landscapes, including lush gardens, serene riverbanks, and verdant countryside. These tranquil retreats offer a respite from the city’s hustle and bustle.  Without a doubt inviting you to unwind and soak in the natural beauty.

The Taj Mahal stands as a serene sentinel, casting its ethereal beauty over the city. As dawn breaks, the monument is bathed in a soft, golden glow. Evoking a sense of awe and reverence. Travellers from all corners of the globe flock here to witness this architectural masterpiece. Basking, in its timeless allure. When I laid my eyes on this magnificent building I wept.

For many reasons.  Without question, I have dreamt of that day for a long time, and all the dreaming finally had paid off.

Undoubtedly the most famous attraction in Agra, the Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
