Wooley’s Tidal Pool.

Indeed, one of the best little spots to swim in. This tidal pool is between Clovelly and Fish Hoek. Additionally, there is parking available close by, and you access from the main road under the railway subway. It is best in the early mornings and evenings. It’s important to note, that this tidal pool doesn’t have any sand, only rocks.  It’s not a day visit, it’s a pop in for a swim.  This pool is awesome when the waters are a little rough!  You will bop around a lot! I would suggest you don’t take your bags and leave them unattended.

Windmill Beach Tidal Pool:

Without a question, one of my personal favourites. It’s a little walk from parking so pack lightly. Make sure you have enough sunblock, shade (umbrellas), food and drink. Because you will never want to leave!  Windmill Beach near Simon’s Town is a hidden paradise with a charming tidal pool. For one thing, the pool is naturally sheltered by large boulders. Creating a serene environment where you can relax and enjoy the crystal-clear waters. The calmness of Windmill Beach makes it an ideal escape for a quiet day by the sea. Its dreamy and divine. Especially, on the perfect beach day!

Millers Point Tidal Pool:

Miller’s Point is situated along the False Bay coastline, near Simon’s Town in Cape Town, South Africa. The area is known for its scenic beauty, rocky shores, and diverse marine life. While there may not be specific details about a tidal pool named Miller’s Point Tidal Pool, the broader region is known for having several tidal pools and rock pools. The bonus is that this pool is in the Cape Point Nature reserve, so you will come across so much wildlife!  Ostriches, Bontebok and troops of Baboons. We spend a lot of time here, it’s the best because it’s never crowded! It’s my happy place.

Beta Beach Tidal Pool:

Nestled between Bakoven and Oudekraal, Beta Beach is a secluded gem that boasts a secret tidal pool. Tucked away from the main beach, this pool provides a peaceful retreat surrounded by rocky formations. Here you have the backdrop of the Twelve Apostles, which is a pretty awesome sight! Definitely, making this Tidal pool very special! It’s a great spot to meet friends for sundowners, only if the water is serene!

Here you will find golden sands and powerful waves, Llandudno Beach is known for its epic surfing. However, hidden amidst the rocky outcrops is a secret rock pool. You should be careful, as its only accessible during low tide only, this pool offers a secluded spot to unwind. Lastly, enjoying the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Above all, remember that tidal pools are natural ecosystems and filled with little marine creatures. Please treat them with respect! Do not remove anything out of the tidal pools! You will find sea urchins, which are spiny and hurt if you stand on them. I use sea shoes, to protect my feet.

For serene waters, go at low tide. Equally, take precaution during high tide, waves crash into the pools. Which could be risky. I make mention any beach in the world. I really hope you enjoy the list of my secret tidal pools in Cape Town.

Furthermore, if you see littering, or anyone hurting our nature, be sure to report them.  Likewise, please do not feed the baboons, they have a lot of good healthy food on the mountain. Make sure you use the baboon proof dustbins, pack your food away.  It’s that simple!  Respect our beautiful country and its marine life!

It’s important to take note, to take precautions and be alert as crime and accidents do happen. Those venturing into the Table Mountain National Park areas should have the emergency numbers on hand: 086 110 6417/107 or 021 480 7700.
