Firstly, the Garden Route is a much-loved coastal adventure. It’s one I have done many times. In different stages in my life. Each and every time, bring me much loved memories!

Where is the Garden Route?

Nestled along the southern coast of South Africa’s Western Cape province lies a stretch of breathtaking beauty known as the Garden Route. Aptly named for its lush landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and captivating scenery. This area offers a magical journey for travelers seeking adventure, relaxation, and exploration. Starting from Hermanus all along the coastal line to Port Elizabeth.  Passing many coastal towns along the way.

What are the highlights of the Garden Route?

On the positive side, it is a haven for nature lovers, boasting an array of ecosystems ranging from ancient forests. To magical pristine beaches to rugged cliffs and tranquil lagoons. One of the highlights of the route is Tsitsikamma National Park, where dramatic coastal scenery meets dense indigenous forests. As an adventurer you can hike along the famous Otter Trail, brave the Storms River Mouth suspension bridge, or simply bask in the serenity of nature’s embrace.

In addition, to the rich maritime heritage, Knysna, is a scenic lagoon and the iconic Heads. Furthermore, you’ll indulge in fresh seafood, explore artisanal markets, or embark on a leisurely cruise. Attracting, exhilarating marine adventures, and the chance to spot whales and dolphins frolicking in the azure waters.
