My sweet Camera Bag
My friends & family are simply annoyed by my camera bag, it has travelled to many countries.
Dropped a few times, full of all sorts of funky smells from incense in India, to water buffalo poo from my road trip to Chaing Rai.
To a little bit of wine (okay maybe a lot). Maybe champagne and many cups of coffee messed up my journeys. As I am always traveling somewhere.
My camera bag looks like a bag of refuse, but inside I carry 4 lenses, my darling Canon 700D body, a baby tripod, and lots of random things. Business cards were collected along the way. Vicks for my nose when I find myself in a smelly situation and painkillers!!! Lots of tissues and my favourite China red lippy, for a quick rogue or serious red lips! Heartburn medicine and hair bands.
I never travel without medication. In a secret compartment, I have a little blue helper, an anxiety pill. This is for desperate measures such as a tuk-tuk drive from hell or when I zipline from one mountain to another. That one time, we were charged by a massive male Elephant bull that was in must. Make sure your camera bag is well-protected and comfortable.
Here is the reason why I carry her like an appendage! You just never know what you see that you can photograph! My favourite thing to do is to take memories of the places I have been to, and things I have experienced and finally make art. In my special way. I love my camera bag, it gives me oodles of memories and happiness.
Traveling with camera gear requires careful planning. First, you must choose the right bag. A sturdy, padded camera bag is essential. Use dividers to protect each item. Additionally, consider the weight of your equipment. Carrying too much can be exhausting.
Moreover, always pack extra batteries and memory cards. You don’t want to miss a shot. Before leaving, double-check your gear. Ensure everything is secure and ready. Finally, keep your camera handy. You never know when the perfect moment will arise. Traveling with camera gear can be challenging, but it’s always rewarding.
