How to get there:

Arriving at Dulini, I met Tash, this beautiful African woman, with the biggest smile.  She welcomed me with a cool lemongrass facecloth to refresh my face.  From Eastgate Airport (Hoedspruit) it takes about 2.5 hours’ drive. Or you can fly into Skukuza airport, which is a quick easy 1.30 minutes’ drive. Tash kindly orientated me, showing me around the lodge.  In the river, which runs all year round, lay a buffalo, Chilling in the water.  After checking in, we walked to my suite for the evening.  I could feel her beamed with such pride.  She was friendly and so warm.

Luxury Suite:

For one thing, the suites at Dulini Leadwood are spacious, beautifully appointed, and designed to harmonize with the bush.  Each suite has its lounge area, large bedroom, and opulent bathroom.  And if that doesn’t impress you enough, you also spoilt with plunge pool and sundeck.  For this reason, this is the perfect place to bask in the warmth of the sun or savor a private moment under the starlit African sky. They have everything and so much more, offering a blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, providing a love affair with nature.

Game Viewing:

Guided by expert rangers and trackers, every game drive becomes a shared adventure, the chase, the opportunity to marvel at the beauty of nature’s creations while holding each other close. The Ranger Patrick, who has traversed in the area for decades, was excellent.  I noticed that Patrick and May the tracker, had great synergy. Making, each game drive fun and exciting. May had exceptional bird knowledge.  Therefore, it was a treat to tick off many gorgeous birds, my favourite being a giant Kingfisher. I have seen the twinkling candlelit dinners in the open-air boma. Adding to the lodge’s culinary offerings is a symphony of flavors. Designed to enchant the senses and ignite the spark of love. Another key point is the food was sensational. Everyone cleaned up their plates and I noticed many went back for seconds.

For example, impeccable service, attention to detail, and dedication to providing a personalized experience. Certainly, I can assure you, that every moment of your honeymoon is tailor-made. I was surprised by the seamless service and enjoyed albeit on my own, the romance of this special space.

Meaning of Dulini:

The name Dulini is the African word given to a termite mound that offers shelter to secretive creatures.  Such as the aardvark. It is believed that many years ago, whilst exploring the rich riverine grove. The founders of the original site of Dulini Moya disturbed an aardvark resident at a nearby Dulini. Thus, it became known as a place of the antbear.

The perfect honeymoon safari is a place where romance is made by the people, and the place and enhanced by the wilderness. The calls of creatures become the soundtrack to your love story. In conclusion, this lodge ticks off all the boxes.  All-encompassing experience that celebrates the union of two souls. I highly recommend spending 4 nights here! Indeed, this is one of my best!
