Honeymoon with Singita Faru Faru

Without a doubt, this has to be my most favourite lodge in the entire Grumeti Reserve. Perfect for honeymooners, I say that with absolute confidence. From the moment I arrive, I feel something shift. The space just flows. It has a simple, contemporary feeling that immediately calms the mind. It feels luxurious without trying too hard. Every line, every curve, every shade in the décor seems intentional.

Pool overlooking the River

And then there’s the river.  Stretching through the landscape, the Grumeti River gives Singita Faru Faru its magic.

It brings exceptional birdlife year-round, filling the lodge with movement and sound.

The river-facing suites feel like private observatories, perfect for interior photography or simply sitting back and soaking in Africa’s rhythms. This is the Serengeti as you dream it: soft, wild, warm, and beautifully alive.

Where Do You Find Singita Faru Faru?

Travel to the Serengeti often begins with anticipation. You know you’re headed somewhere extraordinary. Singita Faru Faru is tucked into the heart of the Grumeti Reserve, an exclusive concession that forms part of the world-famous Serengeti-Mara ecosystem.

Getting here is smooth. After a scenic flight over sweeping plains and golden grasslands, you touch down at Sasakwa Airstrip. From there, a short drive takes you straight into this luxurious African contemporary five-star lodge.

The landscape shifts quickly—thorn trees, riverbeds, rocky outcrops, and endless savannas.

When you finally arrive, you realise something wonderful: you’re in the right place. A private, untouched corner of the Serengeti. A sanctuary for safari lovers. A retreat designed with purpose.

Why I Love the Friendly Faces

But what truly completes Singita Faru Faru is the people. From the moment you step out of the vehicle, you’re met with warm smiles. Genuine, heartfelt smiles. It feels as if you’re coming home after a long journey.

The team here is exceptional. Learning your name almost instantly. Remember what you like to drink. Noticing if you prefer tea to coffee, or silence to conversation.

Their joy in welcoming guests is unmistakable.

Every interaction feels sincere. Every exchange feels light. And as the days pass, you begin to understand that hospitality is not just part of the experience—it defines it. The friendly faces make this lodge unforgettable.

Where You Sleep

The bedrooms at Singita Faru Faru are something truly special. They are lush. They are spacious. And they are designed with a level of thoughtfulness that is rare, even by safari standards.

Each suite is filled with natural light thanks to large, panoramic windows that look directly onto the river. The architecture invites the outside in. It’s as if the Serengeti is part of your room.

Inside, everything feels intentional. The colours are soft—clay, bone, ivory, wood. A perfect backdrop for interior photography. The bedding is textured and luxurious. The furniture is plush yet minimal. You can sense the design philosophy: simple, modern, but deeply connected to nature.

The bathrooms are pure indulgence. Think deep soaking tubs, outdoor showers, warm lighting, and finishes that whisper luxury. Every detail is perfect.
