Best Times to Visit the Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta is a year-round destination, but the experience changes with the seasons:
High/ Dry Season (May – October): Best wildlife viewing as animals gather around shrinking water sources. Cooler weather and easier game spotting.
Green Season (November – April): Lush, vibrant landscapes, many migratory birds, and dramatic thunderstorms. Calving season for many animals, making it a photographer’s dream. Lower rates also mean excellent value.
For a quintessential African safari, June to October is prime.
But the green season offers its own magic and fewer crowds.
